The Evolving of Alchemistry Essentials

Our Story 

Before pursuing my studies in marriage and family therapy and embarking on my journey as a holistic practitioner  with a specific focus on Human Sexuality, I found joy in gifting candles to my family and friends. I often listened to their conversations about the challenges of everyday life, the stresses of work and studies, and the complexities of parenting. A simple yet meaningful remedy I discovered was to gift them scented candles. My intention was to help those I cared about find relief from life’s pressures by creating a calming space for relaxation and escape, if only for a moment, through the power of aromatherapy.

Within the African-American/Black community, discussing mental health and sexuality has often been stigmatized or taboo. Suggesting mental health support was not always viewed as an immediate solution; it was often seen as speaking an unspoken language. By offering candles, I was able to provide a means of release from stress, anxiety, and depression that I would frequently encounter when spending time with loved ones.

Now, as a holistic practitioner,I have the privilege of journeying alongside clients who bravely share their stories of trauma. I understand that experiences related to sexual complexities, couple dynamics, and connection concerns can often lead to feelings of anxiety and depression. Therefore, I have established The Alchemistry Essential Line to create and craft products that offer therapeutic benefits through the senses.
